Support and Training Services

Pre Purchase and Post Purchase Support

For many people stepping into the world of farming alpacas may initially seem a little daunting. This will not last for long. In order to provide reassurance to prospective purchasers and new owners alike we give personal and friendly support and advice for as long as is necessary. This may be in the form of:

  • Advice on paddock set-up and pasture management
  • Collection and return of animals for stud if required
  • Shearing, toe-nail clipping and tooth maintenance (carried out by our experienced shearer, Colin Ottery)
  • Routine vaccinations (whilst animals are at stud)
  • Livery service if required
  • Pregnancy scanning by ultrasound
  • Herd appraisal and advice on breeding strategies

All routine husbandry tasks can be learned by attending one of our Alpaca Husbandry Courses.
